The policy changes noted below may affect you. As part of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA), Illinois will receive
$6 million to improve the quality of child care and $3.5 million to improve the quality of infant and toddler care.
As a result of the Recovery Act funding, there will be some temporary changes made to policies regarding child care in Illinois. We want to let all parents know how that affects them.
Affective November 1, 2009:
- The job search period is temporarily extended from 30 days to 90 days
- The cost of parent co-pay is reduced by 15%
- A statewide Infant & Toddler Specialist Network will be implemented
